Name:
Norman - Looking for a home!
Animal:
Rabbit
Breed:
Dutch
Age:
Young Adult
More Info:
A single boy with a bumpy start to life needs a forever home!
Norman is a beautiful Dutch bunny who is just full of life! He is a young boy, around 1, and absolutely loves running around and getting all the attention! He loves to have headrubs and does enjoy a good cuddle every now and then.
He came to us at the end of October and he's not had a great start with us. He unfortunately had a very bad case of overgrown front teeth. This meant that his front teeth, top and bottom, were overgrowing so fast it caused him to be quite skinny as he could not eat properly. He eventually had all of his front teeth removed which has helped him drastically!
Due to having less teeth this does mean his diet is slightly altered than a normal rabbits. He is not allowed the usual rabbit veg or treats unless it is broken into small pieces, but he can have soft herbs, mushed up fruit and baby food which he adores! Since he's had this issue with not being able to eat in the past he does hoover up all of his food as fast as possible, but other than that he is not affected by having no front teeth.
Norman is alone currently and we believe he would make a great house rabbit to someone who spends a lot of time at home. However we do think he would do very well with a friendly partner who doesn't mind sharing her snacks!
My ideal home is;
- Indoor living with occasional outside access
- Experienced owner ideal
- Lots of love to give!
- Space to run around and explore
- Suitable with children
- Unsure if good with other animals
Norman has been at the shelter since October 2020.
