This coming Monday 20th May we hold our first cat first aid course of 2019 at the GSPCA with a focus on helping save your cats life.
Taking the course will be GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 22 years working in the field of animal rescue and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have been running dog and cat first aid courses for over five years and have trained over 250 participants to help save animals lives.”
"With 200 to 300 cats hit or killed on our roads in Guernsey each year and many more injured or hurt in other ways you never know when a cat may need your help to save its life."
"The next Cat First Aid Course will be this Monday 20th May at 6.30pm and the next dog course will be on the 18th November."
"As owners of pets our worst fear is not knowing what to do if our four legged friend has an injury and this training helps pet owners learn and understand ways to help save your pets life."
The dates for the next first aid course is:
Cat First Aid 6.30pm - 8.45pm Monday 20th May 2019 - Ref - Cat 20/5
Dog First Aid 6.30pm - 8.45pm Monday 18th November 2019 - Ref - Dog 18/11
All first aid courses are a minimum £20 donation and you must book your place by 5pm before the course.
Within the sessions you get the chance to learn about what to do if you were faced with an emergency situation with your dog or cat. All participants receive handouts, a few goodies and a certificate.
