Christmas trees still on sale from the GSPCA and what a wonderful day

After an amazing day raising funds selling Guernsey grown Christmas trees we would like all to know its not to late you can still buy your Christmas tree from the GSPCA.
On sale now at the GSPCA we have a number of wonderful local Christmas trees that have been grown on island for the last 8 years.
On sale from £25 upwards all money raised will go towards replanting new trees for the future and the majority towards the GSPCA and helping animals in Guernsey.
They are blue spruces which is a top end tree which look fantastic and don't drop their needles.
Also being grown here in Guernsey mean they are as fresh as you can get and have a reduced carbon foot print.
All trees are 8 years old grown in Guernsey thanks to Henry Browne we are over joyed to help bring the festive season into homes this year.
The first tree was sold to Helen Holmes who is one of the team at the Shelter and she selected a 3 foot tree and was over joyed with it.
Helen Holmes said "It's so lovely to have a locally grown Christmas tree and to be able to help the GSPCA."
"They all look great and we are hoping to raise lots of funds for the GSPCA in the run up to Christmas at the Shelter where we have 30 trees on sale, well 29 now."
Minimum donation for the trees is –
Under 2 feet - £25 min. donation
Under 3 feet - £35 min. donation
Under 4 feet - £45 min. donation
Under 5 feet - £55 min. donation
Under 6 feet - £65 min. donation
Over 6 feet - £75 min. donation
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "Today we had an amazing time making a lot of people very happy with their very own locally grown Christmas tree."
"The weather was very kind and some dug up their trees while others cut theirs and many gave their trees names."
"We normally rehome animals and avoid Christmas rehoming but we found Millie, Spruce, Bruce, Bob, Dave and many other Blue Spruce Christmas trees wonderful new homes."
"I must say a huge thank you to Jen and Matt who were a massive help today and are two of many amazing volunteers we have at the GSPCA."
"Also a huge thank you to all that supported what was a wonderful event raising funds to help animals in Guernsey this Christmas."
"The trees are wonderful and we have bought one for our own home and it looks fantastic."
"Don't worry if you missed out as we still have many Christmas trees on sale at the GSPCA and we will be in town on Thursday and Saturday with a small selection and next Sunday at Oatlands in the morning."
