On Saturday 10th November 2018 Sidney’s Sponsored Events ran another fantastic evening of entertainment from the 40’s with UK Act Jill Daniels and many other entertainers.

With those there in Fancy dress 40s style and Black Tie as well as a room superbly decorated everyone enjoyed a fantastic night in aid of the GSPCA, Clic Sargent and the Royal British Legion.

We have some amazing pictures from the event and for a £5 donation we can send you the original please just email [email protected] with the request of which picture you would like and donate via www.paypal.me/DonateGSPCA or by calling us on 257261

It all took place at St Pierre Park Hotel and organised by Sidney’s Sponsored Events headed by the wonderful Corinne Connolly.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We are hugely grateful to Corinne Connolly from Sidney’s Sponsored Events who once again organised a fantastic night in aid of the GSPCA, Royal British legion and Clic Sargent."

“Everyone had a great night and all the entertainment really was wonderful from the Burlesque Bombshells to Guernsey Ballroom Dancers and not forgetting Singers from Gadoc.”

“The main act was Jill Daniels who really was fabulous and really got the crowd going.”

“There were some amazing raffle and auction items and from all the charities a huge thanks to Sidney’s Sponsored Events and all that made it such a special night.”

Jill Daniels, started her singing career in the late 1970s even in those far off days her similarity to Vera Lynn was well recognised and earned her the title "The Sweetheart of the Midlands" .

At that time Jill was selected to work in many of the top Cabaret Nightclub Restaurants such as the Talk of the Midlands (Nottingham), Talk of the North (Eccles) Heart of the Midlands(Birmingham) Embassy Club (London) as Support to Numerous Star acts and bands. Although at that time Jill was renown for her excellent renditions of Vera Lynn favourites.

She did not actually specialise until she was asked to put on a special Show for the VE DAY 50th Anniversary Celebrations and a whole new show was produced at considerable expense, the music being especially created from scratch for all of the Wartime Favourites in Jill's singing key, (which happens to be the same as Dame Vera's) to recreate as near as possible the original versions,

The VE DAY Shows were a total success and bookings started flowing in for the Wartime Show which is known as "HITS OF THE BLITZ". The same success was repeated for the MILLENNIUM Celebrations and for The Queens Jubilee Celebrations and Jill Daniels is now known Nationally and Internationally as Britain's No1 singer of WWII Songs and Patriotic Anthems.
