Last night at the GSPCA we welcomed 15 new volunteers to the team.
Shortly after 6pm eager new faces started to arrive to learn about the GSPCA and how to get involved.
GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne was on hand to meet and greet the group who came from all walks of life.
The group were given an induction on about the GSPCA and the different volunteer roles.
A talk on working safely at the GSPCA was followed by a calendar of upcoming GSPCA events.
After the presentation which took around an hour each of the new volunteers got to speak to Steve Byrne about how they would like to help out and set a date.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It is always fantastic to meet those that want to help us here at the GSPCA from raising funds to cleaning out the animals."
"There were those who will be doing their work experience to their Duke of Edinburgh at the GSPCA, to those wanting to help answer the phone or with the gardening."
"The first of those helping are coming along to man our stalls on Liberation Day on North Beach car park and the Last Post and we look forward getting them involved."
"The next induction is during Volunteer Week on the 3rd June at the Shelter."
"We have a fantastic team of volunteers at the GSPCA and appreciate all of their support."
