Earlier this week we reported on Jubilee an injured stray cat that was rescued in the Castel area.

We would like to thank everyone for their donations towards Jubilee and we are pleased to report his eye is healing extremely well and he is improving daily.

He has had a full week of treatment and continues his assessment and time as a stray within the Animal Welfare Ordinance as all stray animals must be kept for a minimum 21 days at the GSPCA

We have estimated Jubilee to be around 3 years of age and is an entire male, semi long haired black and white cat with no microchip.

We continue to appeal for the owner to come forward, but it is likely he has been a stray for some time.

Anna Paint Senior Animal Care Assistant said "We are so pleased with how well Jubilee is responding to his treatment, but it is not fully healed yet and he is quite nervous and we continue to treat him daily."

"His eye was painfully infected when he arrived and if it hadn't been seen it could have got far worse and even lost the eye."

"We will continue to look for his owner and if he isn't claimed and once he is fully healthy we will look to then find him a forever home."

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We are so pleased that Jubilee is doing so well at the GSPCA and would like to thank those that are kindly donated towards his care."

"We have an Angel Pen Pal sponsorship scheme where you can donate regularly to help cats like Jubilee and also a Corporate Angel Pen Pal sponsorship scheme too."

"We will continue to update you on how Jubilee responds to his treatments and gets on whilst at the GSPCA."
