An old hen needs a new home

Can you help this old hen?

Blackie as staff have named this old hen came in as an injured hen last month and has been at the Shelter for just over 4 weeks.

She came in with an injured leg and this old dear who is very sweet is now ready for a new home.

Yvonne Chauvel Senior Animal Care Assistant said 'Blackie is so sweet.'

'She actually talks to you and loves company especially whilst she eats her breakfast.'

'She's not the only chicken in need of a new home but she is a very special lady and it would be lovely to find her a nice retirement home to start the New Year.'
