In just the last 6 hours nearly 400,000 views of Olivia's story have been seen thanks to The Dodo Impact facebook page.

The GSPCA have been keeping the team at The Dodo up to date with Olivia the loggerhead turtle's progress all the way up to her release last September.

Olivia was rescued in Guernsey on Vazon beach last March very close to death by the GSPCA and cared for at the Shelter until the end of July last year.

The Dodo team have put together this wonderful video below of Olivia the loggerheads story and from all at the GSPCA we would like to say a huge thank you and thank you for the wonderful link to our fundraising page www.thedo.do/gspca as every penny helps make a real difference to animals lives here in Guernsey.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We've been keeping in touch with the team at the Dodo and it has been wonderful to see Olivia's VT this morning which in just 6 hours since being posted has been viewed over 360,000 times with over 2,000 shares."

"It was an amazing journey to find Olivia on a winters beach nearly a year ago on the West Coast of Guernsey, to care for her for months, to get her to the Canary Islands and then to see the pictures and videos of her release last September."

"There were so many amazing caring and wonderful people and businesses, groups and airlines to thank that helped with Olivia from feeding her to getting her to Gran Canaria and to see it in this short video really warms the heart."

"The work never stops for us here at the GSPCA from the two seal pups in our care to the other 350 animals which include over 80 hedgehogs, dozens of birds, fish, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, reptiles and so many more."

"Next month we celebrate 144 years helping animals in Guernsey and we are asking everyone to get involved with our GSPCA Purple Week to celebrate our long and wonderful history of helping so many animals."

"The person that helped rescue and care for Olivia is up for the Unsung Hero Award here in Guernsey and to vote for him please visit http://unsunghero.submarine.gg/."
