This Wednesday at 630pm is our 4th volunteer induction evening of 2019.
Open to all our induction evenings are your way to get involved with our varied and diverse work helping animals and the community in Guernsey.
You need to be at least 13 years old to help at the Shelter. If you are younger then you could still help. If you talk to your parents or guardians they may help you with fund raising for the Animal Shelter.
The GSPCA are delighted to announce the third volunteer induction of 2019 was another huge success with 9 new volunteers attending taken it to 47 volunteers inducted between the three evenings this year.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We had a fantastic night last night and inducted 9 new volunteers all wanting to help out at the GSPCA."
“That takes the total to 47 new volunteers through the induction evenings so far this year.”

Since the summer of 2015 twice a week David and his wife Gill Dunkerley have been volunteering at the GSPCA.
Today is a very special day for David as he celebrates his 85th year and all the team and animals want to wish him a very happy birthday which he shares with his namesake on what is St David’s Day.
What an amazing #GSPCAPurpleWeek we have had and still many updates to follow from the amazing support, gifts and events that have taken place to help animals in Guernsey.
The GSPCA are always asking for feedback on the team and for those kind words we issue Certificates of Appreciation to the team and this evening the first of the 71 certificates were handed out.
That’s right an incredible 71 certificates will be issued to GSPCA staff, volunteers, Work to Benefit placements, supporters and amazing helpers all voted by the GSPCA community and supporters.
The GSPCA are delighted to announce the second volunteer induction of 2019 was another huge success with 18 new volunteers attending taken it to 39 volunteers inducted between the two evenings this year.

With the first volunteer induction of 2019 welcoming 21 new volunteers the second takes place five days ahead of GSPCA Purple Week.
Monday 4th February all are welcome to attend the 2nd volunteer induction evening of 2019 which starts at 630pm

We are always looking for volunteers to help at the Shelter in a variety of roles and next Monday we have the first volunteer induction of 2019.

This Saturday at the GSPCA we are having our annual Christmas celebration for all those that have done so much for animals and the community over the last year.
Dress code is Christmas themed and all staff, volunteers, friends, supporters and families are welcome to join us to celebrate all we have achieved during another busy year.
Children are also welcome and there will be lots to keep them entertained from space hoppers to tunnels to play in.
