After a very busy Guernsey Careers Show the GSPCA are expecting a full house for our next Volunteer Induction Evening on Wednesday May 6th.

Whilst at the Careers Show at Beau Sejour the GSPCA team spoke to dozens of interested students and adults looking to help animals in Guernsey.

The next induction will be held at the GSPCA 6.30pm on Wednesday May 6th.

All ages are welcome, but to help on site with the animals you have to be 14 years old or over.

Sarah Creasey Animal Welfare and Education Officer said "At the recent Guernsey Careers Show we had hundreds of students coming across to talk to us and visit our resident tortoise 'Hilda' and 'Scramble' who we took along after their winter rest."

"Many of the students were interested in volunteering or completing placements with us and we had quite a few adults ask about working and volunteering with animals."

"It looks to be a very busy evening at our next Volunteer Induction on May the 6th and all are welcome to come along to find out about how you can help us at the GSPCA."

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It was lovely to meet so many looking to help us at the GSPCA during the Guernsey Careers Show."

"We are always keen to get involved those that want to help us here at the GSPCA and we are especially looking for those that would like to help us on our front reception desk and with a bit of gardening around site."

"We have Volunteer Inductions planned throughout 2015 with the next being held on May 6th at 6.30pm."
