Lido the Silver Maine Coon who needed an ear canal operation to remove a lump and save his life stole many a heart both at the GSPCA and throughout Guernsey.

We are all overjoyed to update everyone that Lido is now is an amazing new home, is extremely happy and has a new home and even ahis very own facebook page.

Named by his new owners ‘HRH Harry the Cat’ you can see how this adorable feline is settling in by visiting his facebook page by going to - https://www.facebook.com/HRH-Harry-the-Cat-2159203347465086/

His new owners recently contacted us and said “As promised here are a few pictures of Harry now he is home with us.”

Although he was a little nervous on arrival his new owners said he quickly settled in, they love him very much and he now enjoys given them a good wash as well as sleeping on their bed.

They continued “What a fabulous chap he is, everything seems to be settling down very nicely.”

Anna Paint Senior Animal Care Assistant said “Lido was such an amazing cat and we all miss him very much.”

“Saying that his new name and facebook page is wonderful and it is so nice to see him so happy.”

“Before and during his life saving operation we were all so worried he wouldn’t make it through and to see him so happy is why we do what we do at the GSPCA.”

“We have lots of other rescue adult cats needing special homes at the GSPCA which you can see online or popping in 7 days a week between 11am and 4pm.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Lido now ‘HRH Harry the Cat’ looks so content and loved in his new home and we are all overjoyed at the GSPCA to see him so happy."

“A huge thanks to HRH Harry the Cats new owners for making him so happy and to all that donated to his life saving operation.”

“Christmas is fast approaching and why not help the animals in our care this Christmas with a gift or by sponsoring them or even helping towards our new Wildlife Hospital.”

“Or if you are looking for a cat please do see the man rescues in our care needing a new home.”
