The GSPCA offers a boarding service not only to dogs and cats, but also other species on request.
New Online Booking System for exisiting customers
The GSPCA is excited to announce the launch of our new online boarding booking system to make it easier than ever for pet owners to secure a place for their furry friends at our animal shelter in St Andrews, Guernsey.
Pet owners whose animals have previously boarded with the GSPCA can now book their pets in online by visiting:

Simply enter your email you have registered to your account and click "Forgotten password" to receive your login details. Once logged in, you’ll be able to view your pets currently on record with us and choose which ones you wish to book in, along with the dates required.
Please note:
- The system currently only works for pets who have previously boarded with us.
- During this trial period, online bookings are limited to just over half our total capacity, so if you receive a “no room” message, please contact us directly at admin@gspca.org.gg or call 01481 257261.
- A fixed non refundable non transferable deposit of £18 per animal per day for each booking (rather than the standard 50% per day) is taken via PayPal.
- Once submitted, your booking will be reviewed by the GSPCA team, and a confirmation will be sent.
- We kindly ask that owners email us at admin@gspca.org.gg to let us know what they’ve booked and when, so we can ensure everything is working smoothly during this trial.
Dogs
The Animal Shelter has a number of kennels dedicated for dogs which are cared for by our trained staff. Staff endeavour to ensure that every dog is happy one whilst they are with us and that they enjoy their stay.
All kennels have under floor heating and the dogs have music through the day to keep them entertained. The kennels are extremely large with plenty of room for any size breed as well as a raised bedding area for them to relax and sleep.
Situated in the heart of Guernsey we are not only central but we are set in a lovely rural area where we exercise them during their stay.
Seb, Nathan and Natalie are the main carers for the boarding dogs with the assistance of other members of the team. Shelter staff take part in APDT dog training certificates. Many of the team have been Volunteer Dog Trainers working through their qualifications at the Shelters Dog Training Classes.
Cats
NEW CAT HOTEL - Mid July 2015 our new boarding cattery hotel opened. We have 22 new pens with underfloor heating, an heat air flow system, indoor and out door runs, a series of shelves and interlinking cat flaps to allow additional space for multiple cats. If you would like to see the new facilities please pop in or call the Shelter to make an appointment.
When our Cat Hotel is full we do have possible overflow space - We also have boarding facilities for cats which have an indoor heated sleeping area adjoined to an outside exercise run. The GSPCA have been boarding cats for over 70 years and staff members Helen, Sharna, Suzanne, Jasmine, Anna and Ali are the main carers that run this unit with help from others when we are very busy. They care for and adore every feline that comes to visit and pride themselves in making sure they have the best of care.

(If 2 dogs share a kennel second dog is discounted.)

TORTOISE/REPTILES £10.50 per day
Small rodents £8.00 per day
We require a 50% non refundable and non transferable deposit when taking bookings.

On request we can offer grooming and off site walks at additional costs, please ask for details.
