For those collection or drop off of your pet(s) please do ask about our service which is £16.25 for each trip (from 1st August 2024 this will be £17.25)
The GSPCA offers a boarding service not only to dogs and cats, but also other species on request.
Dogs
The Animal Shelter has a number of kennels dedicated for dogs which are cared for by our trained staff. Staff endeavour to ensure that every dog is happy one whilst they are with us and that they enjoy their stay.
All kennels have under floor heating and the dogs have music through the day to keep them entertained. The kennels are extremely large with plenty of room for any size breed as well as a raised bedding area for them to relax and sleep.
Situated in the heart of Guernsey we are not only central but we are set in a lovely rural area where we exercise them during their stay.
Seb, Natalie and Nathan are the main carers for the boarding dogs with the assistance of other members of the team. Shelter staff take part in APDT dog training certificates. Many of the team have been Volunteer Dog Trainers working through their qualifications at the Shelters Dog Training Classes.

Cats
NEW CAT HOTEL - Mid July 2015 our new boarding cattery hotel opened. We have 22 new pens with underfloor heating, an heat air flow system, indoor and out door runs, a series of shelves and interlinking cat flaps to allow additional space for multiple cats. If you would like to see the new facilities please pop in or call the Shelter to make an appointment.
When our Cat Hotel is full we do have possible overflow space - We also have boarding facilities for cats which have an indoor heated sleeping area adjoined to an outside exercise run. The GSPCA have been boarding cats for over 60 years and staff members Sue, Jasmine, Anna and Ali are the main carers that run this unit with help from Yvonne, Abby and others when we are very busy. They care for and adore every feline that comes to visit and pride themselves in making sure they have the best of care.
Other animals and birds

We can board reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and many other species on request.

CATS New Cat Hotel £15.20 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £16.40)
DOGS (Regardless of Breed/Size) £21.70 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £23.40)
(If 2 dogs share a kennel second dog is discounted.)
RABBITS/GUINEA PIGS £8.70 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £9.20)
Ferrets £8.70 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £9.20)
BIRDS £7.60 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £8.10)
TORTOISE/REPTILES £8.70 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £9.20)
Small rodents £6.50 per day (new rate from 1st August 2024 £6.90)
We require a 50% non refundable deposit when taking bookings.
