Submitted by Steve on 16:24, 12th Sep, 2016 | 0

On the 6th October last year a very large tabby cat called Louis arrived at the GSPCA as his owner could no longer look after him.

Louis is a very handsome chap and was a 2 year old male cat that sadly suffered with a form of asthma and was on some medication each day when he first arrived.

When Louis first joined us at the GSPCA he was very timid and nervous but as he got to know the team at the GSPCA hr improved each day and grew more confident and friendly.

VACANCY - Casual & Full Time Maternity Post Cover Animal Care Assistant with reception, ambulance and night duties

Submitted by Steve on 12:23, 6th Sep, 2016 | 0

The GSPCA are currently looking for a staff member or members to help cover maternity leave and potentially additional casual hours to meet the needs of the Shelter.

We have a team of 20 staff and over 600 volunteers and without the whole team we couldn't help the 3000+ animals that come through the doors every year, care for the many boarders and achieve so much.

The role is a diverse one working with all species of animals in Guernsey, managing volunteers, driving the GSPCA ambulance, covering night duties, using IT and helping on reception to mention a few of the duties.
