At the GSPCA we really never know what we will need to rescue or help next.

On Wednesday evening when GSPCA team members Sarah Harrison and Steve Byrne were on duty a very poorly dehydrated and extremely flat bird arrived.

Sarah accepted the bird which had been found in the garden in St Peter Port and called Steve as she was unsure of the species.

When Steve saw the bird it was a first for him and the Shelter as it was a recently fledged young cuckoo.
