Three Seal Pups Returned to the Wild at Portelet This Morning
The GSPCA is delighted to announce the successful release of three grey seal pups—Avalanche, Glacier and Frosty—back into the wild this morning at Portelet. After months of intensive care, rehabilitation and dedicated monitoring, the trio made their way into the sea just after 10.30am on what was a beautifully sunny spring morning.
GSPCA Appeal for Mr Blinkle Squeak (“Mr B”) a cat with cancer needing an operation
The GSPCA is appealing to the community for support to help a very special cat in urgent need of life‑saving surgery. Mr Blinkle Squeak, affectionately known as Mr B, arrived at the Shelter over 18 months ago as a severely unwell stray. Disorientated, dehydrated, weak and battling a number of health concerns, the GSPCA team have worked tirelessly to give him the best possible care.

Yesterday, the GSPCA welcomed BBC Radio Guernsey to the Animal Shelter in St Andrews for a special live broadcast between 10am and 2pm, hosted by broadcasters Steph Watkins and Isla Blatchford.
Grey Seal Pup Rescued Near the Fairy Ring With Severe Netting Injury
This morning the GSPCA team were called to an urgent rescue after reports of a grey seal pup struggling along the shoreline near the Fairy Ring on the south coast of Guernsey. Witnesses spotted the young male pup with horrendous netting tightly embedded around his neck, causing a severe and infected wound.
