Only 1 Candidate to date visits GSPCA to discuss animal welfare challenges and the GSPCA Manifesto so additional dates set

Over the last month the GSPCA have been advertising the opportunity for Guernsey Election Candidates to visit the GSPCA to find out about the 24/7 work we carry out helping our community, animals and working with many of the States departments extremely closely.

Of the three events this week open for Candidates to visit only one has attended so additional dates have been set.

Dolphin Discovery Trail goes live with Turfhunt Treasure Hunt please use code EADASD and find all 62 dolphins also the website

The GSPCA and Autism Guernsey are delighted to say that today the Dolphin Discovery Trail treasure hunt app has gone live.

After lots of testing you can visit Turfhunt as of now and if asked for a code use EADASD (see links below).

The app is completely free but donations are hugely welcomed and if anyone would like to be the sponsor of the app please do email [email protected]

The 2025 GSPCA Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday a fabulous day thank you to all that helped, supported and came along & winners

 Sunday the GSPCA held our 13th Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday since 2012.

Every year we the GSPCA are kindly allowed to take over the heart of the island as in St Peter Port harbour to run an event to celebrate animals in Guernsey.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “The GSPCA Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday is without doubt our biggest event of each year.”

“To be allowed to take over the Seafront each year to celebrate animals and our community is truly humbling and we are so grateful to all involved and of course all that support this amazing event.”

The GSPCA would like to say a huge thanks to all that helped make the 80th Liberation Day such a special occasion for many reasons.

“We have to mention our team who had to work, help run a stall at North Beach and we even had an entry for the first time in the Cavalcade.”

Although the States of Guernsey has recently improved legal protections for Guernsey’s animals come into effect which are very much welcomed but there is always more to do and need to be done…

Fancy volunteering & being a Giant Animal Mascot for the GSPCA Animal Seafront Sunday this weekend

As mentioned in a post today there are only 3 days to go as on the 18th May 2025 between 10am to 4pm the GSPCA will once again be organising a day to celebrate the

There will be stalls and fun for all the family; humans and canines. 

We'll have a fancy dress competition, children's games area, lots of food and refreshments, a fun dog show, arts and crafts stalls, local charities, entertainment and so much more........

The day starts from 10am and will take place along the Seafront in St Peter Port.

Cat and Dog First aid Training 20th and 28th May Book Now to secure your place

Each year at the GSPCA we hold Dog and Cat First Aid Courses.

For over a decade we have been running dog and cat first aid courses which help teach owners and pet lovers how to save the life of their pet or animal.

GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne who has over 27 years working in the field of animal rescue runs the training and with over 3000 animals through the doors every year at the GSPCA the team see cases of animal first aid on a daily basis here in Guernsey.

The next Dog and Cat First Aid training will take place this May 2025 and you can book now.

3 days to the GSPCA Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday and come see The Guernsey Majorettes

Trixie who has cancer and needs a very special loving forever home

Trixie is a 5 year old french bulldog cross pug who sadly has been diagnosed with cancer so needs a very special home.
