The GSPCA was delighted to welcome a fantastic team of four volunteers from RBS International last Friday (25th July) to support the busy animal shelter in St Andrews, Guernsey.
The team was greeted by Tim Pellett, GSPCA’s Community and Training Officer, who gave them a warm welcome and a quick introduction before capturing a lovely group photo to mark the occasion. The volunteers then rolled up their sleeves and spent the day assisting with a range of tasks around the shelter.
With the charity currently facing space and logistical challenges due to the Big Build project, the extra help from RBS International staff was especially appreciated.
Tim Pellett said: “It was such a pleasure to meet the RBS International team. On behalf of the GSPCA, I want to say a big thank you for their time, energy and enthusiasm. Their support truly made a difference, and we’re so grateful for their help.”
Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager, added: “Corporate volunteering days like this make a huge impact. The shelter is undergoing significant redevelopment with our Big Build, and having an extra set of hands—even for just a few hours—helps more than people realise. We’d love to hear from other businesses who’d like to get involved. From volunteering to sponsoring parts of the Big Build or supporting items on our wishlist, there are so many ways to make a difference to animals in need.”
