See our stall and vehicles at this weekends Guernsey Motor Festival Motorsport Seafront Sunday.
The Seafront of St Peter Port this Sunday will be closed from the Town Church to the Weighbridge roundabout, and expect to see a wide array of motorsport, specialist and road going vehicles. There will be displays from a wide range of local clubs to include the following:-
With less than a month to go the GSPCA are busy preparing for the ninth Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.
In recent years we have seen just over 100 stalls at our biggest event of the year but with 100 already booked in it looks like it will be the BIGGEST yet.
We would be delighted if any other stalls or buskers would like to join us to help celebrate animals in Guernsey.
Can your team take the trophy off the Plough Inn?
Once again we will be holding a Giant Animal Mascot event as part of our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday celebrations.
This is open to mascots and individuals prepared to dress as an animal and play a fun football game with a rather over sized ball.
We are asking businesses, pubs, individuals or anyone as a team of 5 or an individual and we can make extra teams on the day.
Don't worry about what to wear we will provide the Giant Animal Mascot suit and have over 70 available to choose from.
Sadly earlier this year the GSPCA had to postpone the GSPCA Animal Welfare Sunday which was due to take place in May due to lockdown and the Coronavirus Crisis.
Thankfully due to Phase 5 and the amazing #GuernseyTogether spirit, events can now take place and we are delighted to announce that this wonderful and biggest event that we hold each year will indeed take place this year on Sunday 13th September 2020, and not what was being planned in 2021.
This weekend we should have been running around organising and getting ready for our BIGGEST event of the year and we really need you to donate to help our work as we all miss this much loved postponed event by going to - https://giving.gg/donate/event/5876/GSPCA-Coronavirus-Emergency-Appeal
Sadly due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and restrictions we have had to cancel our 9th Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.
The 2018 Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday will be the seventh and takes place on Sunday 20th May.
On the 20th May 2018 10am to 4pm the GSPCA will be organising a day to celebrate the animals in Guernsey and all the wonderful work that is done to care for them.
We are extremely grateful to all those that made last 6 years such great days and we are hoping this years will be bigger and better.
There will be stalls and fun for all the family - all with an animal theme.
At the GSPCA we are normally appealing for homes for animals, but we are currently appealing for your unwanted soft toys.
The cuddly toys we are appealing for will found good homes as prizes on some of our games to help raise funds for the Shelter such as our upcoming Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday.
If you have any unwanted soft toys then please pop them up to the Shelter or if you need a vehicle to pick up quite a few then please let us know and we can arrange collection.
This Sunday Giant Animal Mascot 5-a-side football event at 2pm, would like to join in?
Once again we will be holding a Giant Animal Mascot event but this year there are a big twist.
This is open to mascots and individuals prepared to dress as an animal and play a fun football game with a rather over sized ball.
We are asking businesses, pubs, individuals or anyone as a team of 5 or an individual and we can make extra teams on the day.
This Sunday once again we bring you a childrens fancy dress competition to help celebrate animals in Guernsey.
The Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday starts officially at 10am with set up from 8am and at 1.45pm Island Mums will be helping run a fun childrens fancy dress competition near the Crown Pier.
Islands Mums will also be helping with a number of activities at a kids corner including chalk drawing and more, not to mention the many other games and things to do on the day.
So please do come down and support the day and spread the word to family and friends.
This Sunday if you can help volunteer or have a vehicle you could help us transport goods we would love to hear from you.
We are planning to pack a number of vans in preparation this Friday ready to drive down for our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday at 7.30am.
If you could lend a van, especially a luton or large transit we would really appreciate it.
Every year it is a huge logistical challenge to transport the many tents, goods and animals from the GSPCA into St Peter Port.
