Guernsey College of FE Access Course students volunteering at the GSPCA

Over the last two months students from the Guernsey College Access Course have been volunteering at the GSPCA.

Each week they have been giving up an afternoon in the classroom to attend the GSPCA to help with work around the Animal Shelter and care for the 500+ animals.

Tim Pellett GSPCA Community and Training Officer said “The Guernsey College Access Course students have been a great help at the GSPCA.”

“From walking the dogs to feeding the many rabbits the Guernsey College Access Course have helped in many areas around the GSPCA.”

Guernsey College Access Course Visit the GSPCA

Last Tuesday students from Delancey Campus came along to visit the GSPCA.

The purpose of the visit was to fulfil enrichment and practical experience opportunities for the students by engaging with realistic work experience, meeting with potential employers and discussing volunteering avenues.

A fantastic Family Fun Day with Guernsey College at Delancey Park

On Thursday the GSPCA joined Guernsey College who were raising funds for 3 charities at Delancey Park.

Guernsey College Health & Social Care, Sport and Childcare students and staff arranged an event at Delancey Park which despite a grey start proved extremely popular with well over 1000 visitors.

The event made the most of the half term and there was fun for all the family.  From stalls, games, a raffle, food, inflatables, face painting and plenty more to do and see.

Come and see our GSPCA stall at the Guernsey College Family Fun Day at Delancy Park between 11am and 4pm Thursday 2nd June 2016.

Their Health & Social Care, Sport and Childcare students are arranging an event at Delancey Park to raise money for 3 local charities.

They are making the most of the May half term and are hoping to make it fun for all the family!

On the day there will be stalls, games, a raffle, food, inflatables, face painting and much more. More details to follow on all of the above and special guests attending.
