At Beau Sejour on Sunday 10th October hundreds flocked to our Animal Antics Event.

The Peter Rabbit 2 screening at Beau Cinema was a sell out and before the film the GSPCA packed the foyer with lots of animals at the GSPCA looking for homes.

The animals included two chickens looking for homes, a cage full of zebra finches, gerbils, Earl the Japanese quail, Amelia the tortoise who is now reserved and Iggle Piggle the baby bunny who is going to a new home.

Nearly £500 was raised on the GSPCA stall with the tombola games, donations and sale of GSPCA clothing.

We will also receive a further donation of about £500 from the ticket sales which we are hugely grateful for.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “A huge thanks to all the team at Beau Cinema for Sundays Animal Antics event.”

“We all had great fun, raised lots and even found animals new homes.”

“Helped by Michelle, Sarah, Matt and Dylan not forgetting the support from the team at the Shelter we filled Beau Sejour foyer with our stall and animals.”

“It was a sell out for the Peter Rabbit 2 and before the film I took Iggle Piggle in and we said a few words of thanks and all the children said Good Afternoon to the baby bunny.”

“A total of nearly £1000 will have been raised and we cannot thank everyone enough for their support.”

“The next event is the Ladies Spooky Lunch on the 31st October and to find out more https://www.gspca.org.gg/blog/join-us-spooktacular-ladies-charity-luncheon-sunday-31st-october .”

“There are many ways you can help support our vital 24/7 work and donate or raise funds for the hundreds of animals in our care.”

“With over 100 hedgehogs, 2 seal pups, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, fish, reptiles and many birds we help over 3000 animals through the doors every year.”

“With so many animals in our care we would love you to join our sponsor scheme to help us each month.”
