Last night just after 8pm GSPCA Ambulance Night Wardens were called out to the seafront in St Peter Port to collect the fourth stray reptile in a week.

Two stray tortoise have been claimed, the bearded dragon is still at the Shelter and we are appealing for an owner to come forward and the reptile rescued last night is a Ghost Corn Snake.

GSPCA Ambulance Night Wardens Matt Hill-Smith and Jen Bradshaw arrived at a restaurant on South Esplanade and found a very sweet, pretty, young Ghost Corn Snake.

The staff at the restaurant asked to name the snake 'Kellogs' who was taken to the Shelter last night where GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne was on duty and set up a vivarium where Kellogs is now safe and warm.

The GSPCA are appealing to find the owner of the stray snake that was found in St Peter Port last night and if anyone has any information please pop into the Shelter or call 01481 257261.

Steve Brne GSPCA Manager said "I'm not sure if its the warm weather but we have had 4 stray reptiles in at the GSPCA in the last week."

"We still have 'Debbie' the stray bearded dragon and now have 'Kellogs' a stray Ghost Corn Snake."

"In less than two weeks we will be on the South Esplanade for our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday with some of the animals in our care and needing homes but its not the place you would expect to find any type of corn snake."

"We now have a bearded dragon and a corn snake we are trying to find owners for and if anyone has any information please call us on 01481 257261."

"We currently have a number of reptiles in need of homes from musk turtles to bearded dragons and please do get in touch if you are interested in adopting one in need of a home."

"Debbie and Kellogs if not claimed in 21 days will also need a new home but hopefully we can find their owners."
