On Saturday 26th June more than 40 local charities with a variety of stands attended the front lawn of Government House for the Charities Fete.

By kind permission of His Excellency The Lieutenant-Governor who is also the Patron of the GSPCA the team from the Shelter not only had their tombola stall, they also helped provide the catering thanks to Michelle Champion from Fillers and GSPCA team member.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager and also Council Member of the Association f Guernsey Charities said “Huge thanks to the Association of Guernsey Charity team and all those that supported the Charities Fete on the 26th June.”

“Despite a fairly damp and grey day over 40 stalls were at Government House raising much needed funds and promoting their work.”

“A great day was had by all with 100’s of visitors and our GSPCA stall we helped provide hot food which kept selling out meaning we needed additional supplies and our tombola also did very well.”

“Huge thanks to Michelle, Suzy, Joseph and Jo who helped us on the GSPCA stall raise a fantastic £435.91 and also huge thanks to all that supported.”

“Also a huge thanks to Lieutenant-Governor is Vice Admiral Sir Ian Corder KBE CB and his wife Lady Corder for allowing us all to use their lawn for what was a wonderful Charities Fete.”
