Today Clinton Millard is setting off from Guernsey towards Africa for is very brave climb of Kilimanjaro to raise funds to help the GSPCA and MUG.

Clinton Millard says on his blog 'I'm 21 years old, I've wanted to get away on an adventure for a number of years now and I thought there was no better way to start than by climbing a mountain!'

'I will be trekking up Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2013, hoping to raise some money for charity while I'm about it!'

'While I'm in Tanzania I'm also hoping to go on safari which will be brilliant.'

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'We are all wishing Clinton the best of luck and looking forward to his stories of his adventures when he returns next month.'

'We really appreciate what Clinton is doing as the money raised helps the hundreds of animals at the Shelter like Pickles the cat who has cancer and needs an operation and our seals Hanois and Jethou Bumblebee who are eating 30 mackerel each a day.'
