At the GSPCA finding an animal a new home is a very special moment as we wave them off on their new adventure.

When we hear how they are doing it is even more heart warming and earlier this year we found a very special cat a home called Charlie.

Charlie's new owner contacted us recently with an update and said “I am pleased to confirm that Charlie has settled in with us really quickly.”

“She has become a valued family member.”

“She especially loves to chase small bouncy balls, snuggle in her bed in front of the Aga and lie on the sofa with us when we watch TV in the evening.”

“Thank you to you and the rest of the GSPCA for all the work you do.“

Anna Paint Senior Animal Care Assistant said “It was wonderful to hear from Charlies owners and see her so happy and settled in her new home.”

“We have many cats in need of homes at the GSPCA but we are having to take extra precautions and limiting visitors to the GSPCA.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “At this time please don’t pop to the Shelter to visit the animals but register your interest by completing a form and emailing it in or posting it to us at the GSPCA.”

“We have lots of animals in need of new homes and while lots of people are at home this is an ideal time to fill in a form and send it in.”

“Although we don’t have any dogs in need of homes at present we have many older cats, many rabbits as well as birds, fish, hamsters, ferrets, degus and reptiles many of which you can see by visiting www.gspca.org.gg/animals .”

Due to Coronavirus to reduce unnecessary visits to the GSPCA we ask all interested in adopting an animal to register your interest by please completing and returning the relevant form below by email or post and a member of the team will be in contact.
