A huge thanks from all at the GSPCA to those that supported the GSPCA Quiz Night at the Cock and Bull which took place last week.

Originally planned for March earlier this year it sadly had to be postponed due to lock down and Covid-19.

Thankfully due to our safe Bailiwick bubble and #GuernseyTogether spirit organisors and GSPCA team members Beckie Bailey and Nicolle Morgan were able to reschedule and run what was a fabulous evening.

With dozens of raffle prizes and dozens of participants the pub was full with supporters raising funds for the many animals in our care.

Beckie Bailey said “Thank you so much to everyone that supported our GSPCA Quiz last week it was a fantastic night.”

“I’ve never run a quiz before and was very nervous but I think we all had a great night.”

“We raised over £500 on the night and with all the entry donations we should raise over £800.”

“A special thank you to all those wonderful people and companies that donated raffle prizes we gave you a good plug to all that took part.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Huge thanks to Beckie and Nicolle for organising the Quiz last week and helping raise much needed funds during these difficult days.”

“Also huge thanks to all involved and donated raffle prizes it made for a fabulous evening.”

“We cannot forget to thank the Cock and Bull for making us all feel so welcome.”

“The next event we are at is the Wear A Guernsey this Thursday at the Tourist Information Centre from 10am selling cakes and refreshments so please do pop and support this wonderful event.”

“For any that missed it and would like to donate to our work please call 01481 257261, at the GSPCA, Rue des Truchots, St Andrews, Guernsey GY6 8UD or online https://giving.gg/donate/event/5876/GSPCA-Coronavirus-Emergency-Appeal .”
