Royal Bank of Canada staff spend Saturday with the GSPCA

Today at the GSPCA we were joined by 6 lovely ladies from the Royal Bank of Canada who had given a day to help at the GSPCA.
Not only had the staff from Royal Bank of Canada given a day to help around the Animal Shelter in St Andrews, but they had also given a donation to purchase materials to decorate some of the buildings.
The 6 staff arrived at 10am and were greeted by the GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne and were given a short induction over a coffee and set to work.
Pat Lundley, Emily Best, Sally Jones, Chloe Harris, Denise Stoddart and Tracy Blampied all looking very smart in their RBC t-shirts after their induction had a quick photo with a few animals at the front of the Shelter before they got stuck in
Half of the group helped the team care, clean and exercise the animals while the other half painted the wildlife, seal, hedgehog and oiled bird unit.
With the sun shining the ladies had an enjoyable day and before they went home they were given certificates to thank them for their hard work and Sarah Ozanne Animal Care Assistant gave them a tour of the facilities.

“We have been at our current site since 1929 and many of our buildings date back to the 50’s.”
“We have a huge rebuild at the moment replacing 5 old structures costing £1.3 million and every little helps towards this and the £2000 a day it costs to care for the thousands of animals we help every year.”
