Calling all local musicians, whether groups, choirs, individual vocalists or solo instrumentalists.  The GSPCA are looking for those interested in raising funds for the animal shelter and are willing to entertain the crowds in Market Square on the run up to Christmas to please come forward.

From Thursday 8 December until Christmas Eve, the Town Centre Partnership is looking for performers who will entertain the public between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm.  We have been informed if anyone is willing to do this for the GSPCA then they would welcome the opportunity.

“We are hoping this will add something really special to the Market Square over the festive period. This combined with the newly installed ice rink (sponsored by JT Wave and organized by Terrace Promotions Ltd) and late night shopping should certainly bring the town alive,” said Jack Honeybill, executive officer of the Town Centre Partnership.

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager said “If anyone is interested in supporting the work that we do and sing for the animals and the shelter then please get in touch.” “You can pop in to the shelter, ring us on 01481 257261 or email me on [email protected]”  “It has been a busy year for the GSPCA and with the new legislation next year we are preparing for an extremely busy 2012.”  “We are hoping that some of the local musical talent in Guernsey will want to use their skills to help raise money for those animals in need.”
