June has been a very busy month for the GSPCA and on the 14th and 15th June exceptional busy not only with animals arriving and going, the BIGGEST BUILD but also with events.
On Saturday 14th June the GSPCA had a stall at Guernsey Together and were also invited to Government House to join the GSPCA Patron Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant General Sir Richard Cripwell CB CBE along with hundreds of islanders and those recognised in the Kings Honours.
On Saturday members of the GSPCA team were invited along with many islanders who do so much for our community.
GSPCA President John Knight, GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne and GSPCA Senior Animal Care Assistant attended the event.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Huge thanks to our Patron for the GSPCA and the host Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell CB, CBE who is the 122nd Monarch's representative to date here in Guernsey for putting on such a wonderful event for those that do such much good in the community.”
This Sunday you can see over 40 local charities with a variety of stands on the front lawn of Government House.
Various activities and entertainment will take place through the afternoon and there will be food and refreshments.
Entry is free and there is a car park with a minimum £2 donation to Guernsey Scouts.
This event is being run by the Association of Guernsey Charities (AGC) by kind permission of the Lieutenant-Governor His Excellency Lieutenant-General Richard Cripwell who is the Patron of the GSPCA.
On Tuesday many of the artists and sponosrs were invited by Autism Guernsey and the GSPCA to Government House for the Official Launch of the Puffin Parade.
Both Autism Guernsey and GSPCA are extremely grateful to Mrs Cripwell who is the Patron of Autism Guernsey and the Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell CB, CBE who is the Patron of the GSPCA for making all feel so welcome and host what was a wonderful start to the Puffin Parade.
The 2022 Charities Fete at Government House was held on the 25th June.
The GSPCA along with 50+ organisations took parton what was a great day raising funds and promoting the work of lots of great causes.
This prestigious event has grown in popularity over recent years, and attracts large numbers of visitors.
There was entertainment, refreshments, lots do see, do and it was a lovely day.

On Saturday 26th June more than 40 local charities with a variety of stands attended the front lawn of Government House for the Charities Fete.
By kind permission of His Excellency The Lieutenant-Governor who is also the Patron of the GSPCA the team from the Shelter not only had their tombola stall, they also helped provide the catering thanks to Michelle Champion from Fillers and GSPCA team member.
On Sunday 100’s of islanders celebrated the end of lockdown for the whole Bailiwick, and the #guernseytogether spirit.
On Sunday there was a FREE family friendly event (with donations to charity) to showcase what an array of fantastic talent and produce we have in Guernsey.
The organisers kindly supported a number of local charities including the GSPCA and it was lovely to see everyone at Government House.
The GSPCA was there with our stall promoting our work and raising much needed funds. An amazing £880 was raised and a lot of fun was had.
Let's celebrate the end of lockdown for the whole Bailiwick, and the #guernseytogether spirit.
