A very rare sight in Guernsey - A Natterer's Bat at the GSPCA

Last night the GSPCA staff and volunteers were kept very busy with stray animals and wildlife.

It is often very busy at this time of year, but one of the animals rescued from a cat and brought in was an extremely rare sight for Guernsey.

A Natterer's Bat was brought in which have only been seen on a very small number of occasions.

There is said to be a breeding colony in Jersey, but no such location has been found in Guernsey that we know of.
