Firework updated list with events due tonight & any issues please do complete a GSPCA Incident or Upset Report Survey or a general view survey

With firework events already started and over 50 already registered for November on the States of Guernsey website https://gov.gg/fireworks , the GSPCA is calling on islanders to be mindful of the impact fireworks can have on animals.

GSPCA Urge Firework Awareness Over 20 Events Already Registered in Nov— New Surveys Launched to Track Animal Impact & Incidents

With 21 firework events already registered for November on the States of Guernsey website https://gov.gg/fireworks , the GSPCA is calling on islanders to be mindful of the impact fireworks can have on animals.

Following last year’s overwhelming response to the GSPCA’s firework survey—with nearly 2,300 completed responses—concerns remain high about the distress caused to pets, farm animals, and wildlife by over 200 private firework events held across just 16 days.

This month Guernsey has without doubt seen more fireworks over a longer period of time than for most in memory.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We have seen the busiest firework period for displays over the longest period than any can seem to remember which has caused many issues for the island animals which is clear from the recent survey we have run at the GSPCA.

“In less than 2 weeks we have had 2213 responses to our Firework Survey which we launched at the start of the month making it the most popular survey the GSPCA has ever launched.”

Guernsey Firework Survey 2025 - please let us know your feelings, experiences and thoughts good or bad on fireworks

The GSPCA is launching a Guernsey Firework Survey 2025 to gauge islanders thoughts, experiences and feelings on the current situation with fireworks in Guernsey.

Every year islanders share there views online in regards fireworks from those that support them to those that have experienced negative situations for a range of reasons.
