Only 1 Candidate to date visits GSPCA to discuss animal welfare challenges and the GSPCA Manifesto so additional dates set

Over the last month the GSPCA have been advertising the opportunity for Guernsey Election Candidates to visit the GSPCA to find out about the 24/7 work we carry out helping our community, animals and working with many of the States departments extremely closely.

Of the three events this week open for Candidates to visit only one has attended so additional dates have been set.

GSPCA invites Guernsey Election Candidates for tours next week to find out about the animal welfare challenges of the island

Although the States of Guernsey has recently improved legal protections for Guernsey’s animals come into effect which are very much welcomed but there is always more to do and need to be done…

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “The GSPCA welcome the long overdue improved legal protections for Guernsey’s animals that come into effect recently.”

GSPCA Meet the Candidates at the Environment Hustings and open invite to them to learn more about animal welfare challenges

On the 8th September the GSPCA were invited along to the Environment Hustings to talk to the Candidates standing in the 2020 Election.

Steve Byrne GSPCA attended the event that took place at Les Cotils.

As it was the Environment Hustings the topics discussed were focused on the theme, but the GSPCA daily face a huge range of challenges. Some of these discussed included –
