GSPCA Appeals for Weekend Staff and Volunteers Following One of the Busiest Summers on Record
The GSPCA is appealing for additional weekend staff and volunteers to help care for the many animals coming through its doors during what has become one of the busiest summers the charity has experienced.
With increasing numbers of wildlife rescues, dogs, cats and other animals needing assistance, the charity is seeking caring and dedicated people to join its team and support its vital 24/7 animal welfare work.
Sixth Form Centre Students Complete Work Experience at the GSPCA
The GSPCA has been delighted to welcome Sixth Form Centre students Aleksandra and Freddie for their recent work experience placement at the charity's animal shelter and wildlife facility.
During their time with the GSPCA, both students spent time assisting across the charity's various departments, gaining first-hand experience of the wide range of work involved in caring for domestic animals, wildlife and supporting the day-to-day running of Guernsey's animal welfare charity.
Les Beaucamps Students Lend a Helping Hand at the GSPCA
The GSPCA was delighted to welcome a group of Year 7 to Year 9 students from Les Beaucamps School who spent time volunteering at the charity's St Andrew's headquarters on a beautiful sunny Tuesday.
The enthusiastic students got stuck into a variety of jobs around the site, helping to wash one of the GSPCA's vans as well as carrying out cleaning and sweeping duties to help keep the animal shelter looking its best.
Healthspan Team Lends a Helping Hand at the GSPCA
The GSPCA was delighted to welcome nine members of staff from Healthspan to the Animal Shelter on 18th May for a rewarding corporate volunteering day.
The team were greeted by GSPCA Training and Community Officer Tim Pellett, who provided an introduction to the charity's work before everyone gathered for a quick group photograph. The volunteers then got stuck into helping the team at the Animal Shelter with a variety of tasks, assisting staff and supporting the day-to-day care of the animals.

To mark Volunteers’ Week, the GSPCA is proudly celebrating and thanking the 800+ volunteers who generously give their time each year to support animals in need across Guernsey.
From committee members helping guide the charity, to ambulance wardens, dog walkers, fosterers, shop volunteers and dedicated fundraisers, volunteers play a vital role in every aspect of the GSPCA’s work.

Howdens Team Lend a Helping Hand to Transform GSPCA Shelter Pathways
The GSPCA is delighted to recognise the fantastic support from staff at Howdens Guernsey, based at Route de la Garenne, Pitronnerie Road, who have generously volunteered their time throughout April and May to help improve the charity’s animal shelter in St Andrews.
