Michelle Champion GSPCA Charity Shop Manager “Happy Birthday to us!”
“It’s GSPCA Purple Month and we are celebrating 150 years this year.”
“Like our shop Facebook page GSPCA Charity Shop - Smith Street and look out for sales and events throughout the month.”
On Monday the first ever off site GSPCA Charity Shop opened its doors.
Many will be aware that during covid we had to close the onsite charity shop at the GSPCA for a number of reasons which includes it is being transformed into a small animal unit.
The shop, headed up by Michelle Champion and her great team of volunteers has had a fantastic first week and lots of kind and positive feedback.
The shop is located next to Fillers and some may remember it as the Christian Aid or Oxfam shop.

We are very excited to report that tomorrow morning after a lot of hard work from the team we are opening a brand new GSPCA Charity Shop on Smith Street in St Peter Port.
The shop will be headed up by Michelle Champion and her great team of volunteers.
The shop is located next to Fillers and some may remember it as the Christian Aid or Oxfam shop.
From 9am on Wednesday 28th March we are having a Charity Shop Sale on all clothes items over the Easter Period.
Open 9am to 5pm each day except on Bank Holidays and Sundays which are 11am to 4pm.
Situated on site at the GSPCA which has parking or via bus route 61.
Each item of clothes is just £1 each so this is a great chance to visit and see our shop and grab a bargain.
The GSPCA shop will be closing down on Thursday this week for a few weeks while we have a refit. In order to clear some stock we will be having a massive sale over the next two days. The shop will be manned 9am – 5pm and bargains include:
* all adult clothing £1 per item
* children’s clothing 50p per item
* all furniture in stock maximum £10 per item but must be collected before Thursday
* handbags and shoes £1 each
* small ornaments 50p and large £1
* children’s toys no more than £1
* books 25p each
* CDs 25p each
The on-site GSPCA Charity Shop has this month welcomed three new faces who will be helping to run the on site shop to raise much needed funds for the hundreds of animals in our care and the thousands we help each year.
We are currently appealing for a kind company to help put a floor into the shop area which has currently got bare concrete.
We are looking at options of vinyl tiles as we allow dogs to visit the shop and appealing for either a floor company to help or a kind donation to help floor our shop.
