Yesterday the GSPCA were called out to a car park near the back of the airport.

The call was originally for a toad but when we arrived we were faced with a large black lizard.

After a little confusion of what species the lizard was it was cleared up by the owner who had been looking for their missing lizard for over 6 weeks.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “There was a little confusion over the species of the stray lizard we had in yesterday, but thankfully the owner came forward.”

“The lovely black lizard is a chuckwalla and had been missing for 6 weeks.”
