After a busy Firework night do you have any incident or Upsets for our Report Survey or a general view survey with more due over the next few days

Last night over 80 firework events registered took place and more continue tonight and over the weekend into next week.

Fireworks have began with over 50 already registered over the next two weeks — GSPCA Surveys & one to reports incidents

With firework events already started and over 50 already registered for November on the States of Guernsey website https://gov.gg/fireworks , the GSPCA is calling on islanders to be mindful of the impact fireworks can have on animals.

Guernsey Firework Survey 2025 with nearly 700 participants in less than 24 hours

The GSPCA launched a Guernsey Firework Survey 2025 yesterday to gauge islanders thoughts, experiences and feelings on the current situation with fireworks in Guernsey and have already received 670 responses.

Every year islanders share there views online in regards fireworks from those that support them to those that have experienced negative situations for a range of reasons.

FIREWORK ADVICE FROM THE GSPCA & DON'T FORGET TO NOTIFY THE STATES ABOUT YOUR EVENT - currently events from 2nd - 8th November

Every year we hear of firework related incidents involving animals and children. While fireworks may be exciting and pretty to look at and its fun to celebrate many celebrations with a bang, we must put our safety, the safety of our pets and the local wildlife first. 

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “As we fast approach the 5th November those organizing events are registering their events with the States of Guernsey for their and our firework calendar and we are aware of many events from the 2nd up to the 8th November.”

Friday 5th July at around 930pm there is a private firework display planned at Mont Arrive, St Peter Port, GY1 2AQ so please ensure your animals are safe and prepare for the unusual sounds and sights they might be subjected too.
