At the GSPCA today a young lady popped in to say hello and donate funds that she had raised with a friend for the Redevelopment Appeal.
Emily Adams who is 12 years old with her friend Maisie Andrews from the Grammar School decided to help raise funds for the Redevelopment Appeal after hearing about the work of the Animal Shelter and the need for the new buildings from Sarah Creasey the Welfare and Education Officer.
Emily and Maisie raised the wonderful sum of £27 by collecting in school.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It was lovely to meet Emily today and we are extremely grateful to her and Maisie and of course all that donated to help towards the GSPCA Redevelopment Appeal."
"Many of the buildings at the Shelter date back to the 1950's and over the next 10 years we have a plan to redevelop and rebuild much of the site, and we really appreciate any support or help."
