Yesterday staff from En-Route St Andrews Co-operative spent the day helping at the GSPCA.

With over 200 animals in our care and the summer always the busiest time at the Animal Shelter 13 staff from the store from just around the corner from the GSPCA helped in all areas of the Shelter.

In the morning Karina, Sophy, Anda, Janis, Anita, Stuart, William and Marika helped in many of the departments at the Shelter from kennels to the cattery, hedgehogs to the many varied wild and domestic pets.

After a short induction the staff from the Co-op were shared among-est the GSPCA team and got stuck in cleaning and caring for the animals around the site.  In the afternoon Jayne, Liam, Jessica, Laura and Marlene came to help and they too helped with cleaning and caring for the animals around the site as well as helping processing donations and tidying the stores where they are kept.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It was great to have the staff from the En-Route St Andrews Co-operative store help yesterday as it is extremely busy at this time of year at the GSPCA."

"The GSPCA team and I really appreciated all of their help and we would like to thank them all for everything they did to help yesterday."

Sue Le Goff GSPCA Animal Care Assistant said "On kennels we had Stuart and William help in the morning and they were a great help and worked really hard."

Marika Gravleja Store Manager from the En-Route St Andrews Co-operative said "It was a great experience also very inspirational and thought provoking day for all of us."

"Thank you for opportunity given to our team."

"We found it very beneficial."
