The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Feed the Birds Day takes place on Saturday 29 October 2011.

This special day reminds us about all the things we can do to help birds and other garden wildlife through the winter.

Birds really need your help as the clocks go back and the nights draw in. This year the GSPCA would like to encourage everyone to ‘Come Dine with the Birds’ and host your own wildlife garden party.

This day is led by the RSPB and to find out more about the RSPB in Guernsey go to http://www.rspbguernsey.co.uk/

If you are looking for somewhere to purchase wild bird seed, feeders, hedgehog food and lots more then please pop in to the GSPCA Animal Shelter and you to can join in and celebrate this wonderful event.

The GSPCA deals with 100’s of sick and injured birds from around Guernsey and we would love to see everyone do their part in caring for these beautiful creatures.Gert was just one of the many birds we have helped and she has been very grateful.

Gert said 'Quack, quack the GSPCA do a quacktastic job and by buying bird and hedgehog food from them you can help them with their welfare work and also help all of my friends in the wild' 'Please help on feed the birds day this Saturday, quack quack thanks'

If you wish to find out what you can purchase from the shelter then call 01481 257261.
