The GSPCA have cats in to the Shelter nearly every day of the year.  They come in as ferals, strays, unwanted, rescues, new born kittens, road traffic accidents as well as many other reasons.

Many of the cats that are for rehoming often only stay with us for a matter of weeks before they find a new loving owner.

Gizmo came in on the 26th January 2011 and the GSPCA are hoping to find her a home before she becomes the only animal in the Shelter that has been here for what will be over a year.

Gizmo came in with another cat with a very independent nature, her own mind and dislike for being handled.  She still prefers her own space and this is one of the reasons many visitors have walked past her.

Gizmo is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, defleaed and microchipped as are all the dogs and cats rehomed from the Shelter.

This little lady needs a home where she can have her own space due to her background and personality.  An understanding owner that can build a bond with her as she will let you stroke her but on her terms.  To help build her confidence she has told us a home where there are no children or dogs would be the ideal situation.  Gizmo did come in with another cat so she may be suitable if there are other cats in a potential home but she would like somewhere with plenty of space where she can run and play.

At only 3 ½ years old she has spent nearly a third of her life at the Shelter.  Gizmo may have not had a Happy New Year in a New Home but with the Chinese New Year only days away (23rd January 2012) can you help Gizmo have a Happy Chinese New Year in a forever home?

If you can please get in touch with the Animal Shelter on 01481 257261
