GSPCA join Guernsey Mind and Les Bourgs Hospice in the finals of the Guernsey Community Foundation Charity of the Year Award

Yesterday the finalists of the Guernsey Community Foundation Awards were announced.

The GSPCA are proud and very privileged to be shortlisted for Charity of the Year with the amazing Les Bourgs Hospice and fantastic Guernsey Mind who both do amazing things for the community at their causes.

This evening on ITV Channel at 6pm they will be show casing all three charities and on Thursday they will broadcast live the winner from St James Hall at the awards evening.

The judges of the award gave this as the reason for short listing the GSPCA -

The Judges were impressed by the innovative achievements of the GSPCA, now not only focused on helping animals, but also on projects to the value of the community as a whole.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We have been very humbled at the GSPCA to be short listed as a finalist for the Guernsey Community Foundation Charity of the Year."

"We work around the clock 24/7 to help animals and the community and we are very lucky to work with many other amazing organisations, groups and authorities helping thousands of animals every year and supporting the community in many ways."

"We are looking forward seeing all of the amazing work by all of the amazing charities, groups and individuals on Thursday night and to be short listed with such amazing charities like Les Bourgs Hospice and Guernsey Mind is a real privilege."
