Last week during the half term we held tours around the GSPCA to see the hundreds of animals in our care.

Every Spring we help hundreds of baby birds, hedgehogs and many more wild animals and birds.

The guided tours took groups of over 20 each day behind the scenes and due to the numbers of animals many of the tours took over 2 hours.

We asked for a minimum donation of £5 per person and £3 per child, or £15 for a family of four and many gave additional donations and bought items in the shop and charity shop on site.

The groups also got a special glimpse of Olivia the turtle and Bonnie the seal pup behind one way glass.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It was a real pleasure taking around over 100 visitors on our guided tours last week which were a sell out."

"From meeting our resident tortoise to seeing the new build, walking through our charity shop to seeing Bonnie the seal pup behind one way glass, seeing baby birds being fed to meeting Olivia the turtle many enjoyed themselves so much a round of applause often ended the tours."

"We raised over £500 through the visitors coming on the tours and we already have other dates set later this year."

"We also have a number of special birthday guided tours booked in with children and if you are interested in a special tour please do get in touch."

"On Wednesday 13th July at 6pm we are holding an evening guided tour with Hearing Dogs to raise funds for them and the GSPCA and to book please call Dawn on 01481 236999 it is £5 an adult and £3 a child with places limited."

"Thank you to all that came along to our tours last week it was very much appreciated."
