Over the last few weeks a young artist from Blanchelande School has been back and forth at the GSPCA to help provide a stunning back drop to our conservation area.

Hemu Khankashi from year 11 has helped provide a stunning mural on a wall facing the pond, picnic area and Poison Garden at the GSPCA.

The building has been a very plain beige for over 60 years and thanks to Hemu it has been brought to life with pictures of wildlife and plants adding to the amazing work that St Andrews Floral Group and so many others have helped with around the GSPCA grounds.

Day and night Hemu has spent through the Summer at the GSPCA to help make this work of art and we are all very thankful to her and her teacher Cora Lee.

Ann Wragg Group Leader from St Andrews Floral Group said "We are all so delighted with Hemus work."

"It really helps bring together all of the work we are under taking at the GSPCA and thank you to Hemu and Cora her teacher."

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It has been so wonderful watching Hemu work day and night to make this stunning mural at the GSPCA."

"We are so grateful to Hemu for the work of art overlooking our conservation, picnic and Poison Garden area we have at the GSPCA."

"For a donation of just £2 you can come and visit Hemu's work, the grounds and see many of the animals in our care every day between 11am and 4pm."

"Next week we have guided tours at the GSPCA and there is a special chance to see the art work and behind the scenes at 2pm each day, just call 257261 to book your place."

"Watch out soon as you can support Hemu online as she is an entry in the Sovereign Art Foundation Prize and it would be great if everyone can help vote for this lovely talented young lady."
