On the 19th October 3 staff from Man Fund Management (Guernsey) Limited attended the GSPCA to give up a day in the office to help with the work around the Shelter.

The day was started with a quick induction followed by a picture at the front of the GSPCA.

They were then put to work helping paint a container next to our Memorial Garden which was in desperate need of a spruce up.

Once their team had finished with a fantastic paint job they got the opportunity to help with the many animals in the care of the GSPCA followed by a guided tour of the site at the end of the day which ended in a thanks and gifts of certificates for their hard work.

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “We are hugely grateful to the three staff from Man Fund Management (Guernsey) Limited who were a huge help last month on a very busy day and with the wonderful painting job they did of a structure that was in desperate need of a paint job.”

Tim Pellett GSPCA Community & Training Officer who gave the tour said “After a hard days work ee were able to do the tour of the departments, boarding dogs, cats and re-homing.”

“All of the Man Fund Management (Guernsey) Limited staff were quite interested in the exotics too, less poor Webster our tarantula!”

“They were really impressed with the memorial garden project and our vision for its future and suggested they would be keen to come back to maintain the flora and fauna next time.”

Annette Gerard Fund Financials Oversight Coordinator from Man Fund Management (Guernsey) Limited said “We just wanted to say thank you for having us over to volunteer on the 19th October.”

“We would definitely like to make it an annual occurrence, maybe even with more colleagues.”

“Needless to say we fell in love with every little animal friend we met and wish we could rehome them all.”

“One particular favourite was Major (the cockerel) who proudly accompanied us when we had lunch by the pond.”

“Hope he is still happily protecting all his girlfriends.”

Steve continued “There are many ways businesses can support our work at the GSPCA from volunteering to sponsorship and we always love to hear from those keen to help and please do give me a call on 257261 or email [email protected] if you would like to find out more.”
