On Tuesday Tim Hunter and Sydney Henley-Roussel from BBC Guernsey popped along to the GSPCA to see behind the scenes and help GSPCA Animal Care Assistant Beckie Bailey.

Tim and Sidney got to meet many of the animals and interview Beckie about the Shelter and the many animals in her care.

You can listen to the interview tonight on their show from 7pm on BBC Guernsey – https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_guernsey#

Beckie Bailey said “It was lovely to meet Tim and Sydney from BBC Guernsey and show them the many animals in our care and the talk about the work of the GSPCA.”

“There are many ways to learn about and support our work and we have some animal areas open 7 days a week between 11am and 4pm 7 days a week and even run guided tours.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “It was wonderful to meet Tim and Sydney from BBC Guernsey.”

“They spent the afternoon with one of the team Beckie who showed them around and they managed to get hands on with some of the 500+ animals in our care.”

“Working 24/7 and with so many animals needing our help we love to speak to those keen to learn about our work and it is always great to showcase our work to the lovely team at BBC Guernsey.”
