Hello my name is Gert and I'm an old duck that lives at the GSPCA.  My story is that I was found injured and almost dead.  A kind person brought me here at the start of the year, they cared for me and got me all better and now I'm enjoying life once again.  They were going to release me but I've decided they have a very nice pond and some lovely staff so I am staying as I manage to have breakfast and dinner each day by what I like to call my butlers and maids.

It's a lovely place where many animals are brought in every week and are cared for until they are fit for release or to find new home.  So far this year they have all ready cared for and helped over 1000 animals.

I'll be writing updates and stories from time to time as well as asking you to join in with fun staff such as spott me in a picture and appeals for things that are needed.  In other quacks this blog is all about me and what I see.

My first tale to tell is have you seen all of the hamsters!!!!  They all ready have over 30 and the number is growing.  The welfare officer called Emma went along to a house brought 18 back and lots are now having babies, it is quackers!!!!

I've heard them talking and they need to not only find them all homes but also need donations of feed, bedding and nice big cages for them so if you can help please do get in touch with their lovely reception staff.

Well its been fantastic quacking to you and I hope you enjoy my tales.
