Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information leading to the identity of the offender(s) in relation to an incident in the Torteval Area which had occurred overnight Tuesday the 10th December 2013 in which a sheep was killed after apparently being run over by a vehicle.

It appears that the vehicle entered the field by driving over an electric fence.  Clearly this is a distressing incident for the farmer and appears to be a callous and mindless act of cruelty towards a defenceless animal.

If anyone has any information in relation to this matter they are urged to make contact with the Guernsey Police to maximise the opportunity of identifying the offender(s).

Guernsey Police can be contacted on 725111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
