After the success of the 5 bingo nights during 2014 the GSPCA are proud to present a full year of bingo nights.
The first has an Australian theme as on Monday the 26th January as it is Australia Day.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "We've had some great fun in 2014 with our bingo nights at the Market Bistro and Last Post. which has raised thousands of pounds helping the GSPCA and animals in Guernsey."
"For only £14.50 for adults you get 8 games of bingo and your meal which is a buffet style half way through the evening."
This year is the 40th year of the GSPCA 24 hour ambulance service.
The GSPCA was founded in 1873 and we have been located in St. Andrews since 1929.
Although since the early 1900's the GSPCA have had an animal ambulance service which has varied from pedacycle to horse drawn carriage, in 1974 the service officially became 24 hours 7 days a week.
1974 was the year the Committee decided to offer a 24 hour call out service to be manned by voluntary wardens.
One of the original wardens is John Bougourd who also went on to become the President of the GSPCA.
On Friday the 6th December Wayne Walden a member of staff from Credit Suisse gave up a day in the office to help out at the GSPCA.
This is the third occasion in 2014 staff members from Credit Suisse have come to help at the Shelter and the GSPCA are extremely grateful to all of their help.
Yesterday at the Market Bistro and inner market Building the GSPCA and Guernsey Cheshire Home held the first Santa Paws Sponsored Dog Walk and Christmas Fayre.
With a lovely dry morning volunteers and stall holders set up from 9am getting ready for the opening at 11am.
From the Guernsey Cheshire Home cook book on sale to pet Christmas stockings, there was something for all the family and four legged friends.
Dogs started arriving before 11am sporting a lovely array of Christmas jumpers to little elf hats.
On sale at the GSPCA we have a selection of hedgehog food.
Hedgehogs often struggle to find enough food at this time of year with the temperature not low enough for them to hibernate and very few insects about.
Our reception and shop are open 9am until 5pm Monday to Saturday (to see our festive opening hours please click here)
If you would like to help us feed the hedgehogs in our care then here are a few ideas -

Could help make an animals day a special one this Christmas at the GSPCA?
The GSPCA always needs a variety of toys, equipment and feed which we occasionally source from Amazon due to the very economical prices, but many of the items you can purchase locally or even from the GSPCA Animal Shelter shop.
If you would like to buy something directly for the GSPCA Animal Shelter from our Amazon Wishlist then please click on the link to Amazon below to find out what we need.
