On Sunday 17th June please pop along to Saumarez Park to see the GSPCA stall supporting the Annual Classic Vehicle Show Public hosted by Guernsey Classic Vehicle Club LBG.
We are delighted to be able to attend this wonderful event and will have a stall raising funds for the many animals in our care at the GSPCA.
The day starts at 11am and runs all the way through until 5pm.
If you can help on our stall please give Michelle a call on 257261 or email [email protected]
On Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th August it is the North Show and the GSPCA will be there with a stall for the sixth year in a row.
Not only will we have a stall but we also have a float thanks to Jo Hardill and her family and friends in the Battle of Flowers
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "The summer is always extremely busy for us at the GSPCA between the 500+ animals that we have at the Shelter to all of the fantastic events of which many we attend."
On Monday the 3rd July the GSPCA joined Guernsey National Trust for their fantastic annual event Le Viaër Marchi.
Held on the first Monday of July (in any year), Le Viaër Marchi is a colourful and widely anticipated annual event in Guernsey’s calendar and continues to be the Guernsey National Trust’s greatest fundraiser and was certainly another a wonderful 2017.
Last Sunday the GSPCA joined La Société Conservation Herd for their Car Boot Sale at Saumarez Park.
From all at the GSPCA we would like to thank all involved for the invite and a wonderful event.
We raised £150 and there were lots of winners on the GSPCA stall.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "It was lovely to see some of the calves from La Société Conservation Herd."
"We had a lovely morning fund raising for the 450+ animals in our care and we had loads of winners with one young lad winning an amazing there Jurassic Park Dinosaurs in one go."
Is Monday the 3rd July in your diary?
Once again the GSPCA are looking forward joining the National Trust at Le Viaër Marchi on Monday 3rd July.

On Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August the North Show took place and the GSPCA was there with a stall for the fifth year in a row.
We had a great two days raising funds, talking to those interested in adopting animals, helping volunteer and interested in our services from the GSPCA, although the fun dog show had to be canceled due to the heat and then thunderstorm and we would like to apologise and hope that next year the weather will be kinder to us.
On Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August it is the North Show and the GSPCA will be there with a stall for the fifth year in a row.
Not only will we have a stall but we are also getting involved in a much bigger way with the first ever Fun Dog Show to be run at Saumarez Park during the North Show by the GSPCA.
To enter please bring along your canine friend or friends on the Wednesday and register at the GSPCA stall which will be next to the main arena.
Yesterday the GSPCA had a lovely morning despite a wet start at the La Société Conservation Herd Car Boot Sale at Saumarez Park.
With a grey and damp start over 20 cars along with stalls from La Société Conservation Herd and food vendor Furze Oven.
The GSPCA took a stall which helped raise £100 for the animals in our care and La Société Conservation Herd appeared to have a great morning raising funds for the Guernsey cows they look after with their conservation work of which two of the young steers were present for visitors to meet.
This evening three stray budgies were found near Saumarez Park which were kindly transported to the GSPCA by Leo Thomas founder of Sarnia Guinea Pig Rescue.
The two male and one female birds were found together and both males are in fairly good condition, with the female bird with a few small injuries but otherwise fine.
The birds have been named Major, Manuel and Sybil.
We have already had a number of stray canaries and budgies found this year and sadly many are never claimed and are either rehomed or cared for at the Animal Shelter.
