Thank you all involved & supported the Creature Comfort & Island FM Dog Walk raising funds for GSPCA & Guernsey Animal Aid Cats

On Sunday Guernsey dogs and owners filled the area next to the Liberation Monument in St Peter Port at 9.30 in the morning.
The purpose was to raise funds for the GSPCA and Guernsey Animal Aid Cats all thanks to Creature Comforts and Island FM.
With over 50 dogs, their owners and a dry start a wonderful amount was raised.
Michelle Boates Director of Creature Comforts said "The walk was a big success and we had in excess of 50 dogs!"
"We raised £560 and in addition, the second prize raffle winner which was a £50 voucher has asked that we donate it to the charities making a grand total of £610 which is £305 for each."
Helen Holmes from the GSPCA helped at the start and said "It was a great turn out and lovely to see so many dogs."
"We are so thankful to Island FM and Creature Comforts as well as all that turned out to raise funds for the many animals at the GSPCA and for Guernsey Animal Aid Cats."
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said "I really wished I could have bee there to support and see the many dogs and owners that turned out early on Sunday morning to raise funds for the many animals in need in Guernsey."
"Thank you to Helen Holmes that went down from ourselves at the GSPCA, Michelle and all at Creature Comforts, Josh Gabriel and the Island FM team, Guernsey Animal Aid Cats, the dogs and the owners for what sounds like was a great morning raising funds for two charities that do so much helping 1000's of animals in Guernsey every year."
"The money raised will help animals like Olivia the turtle, Bonnie the seal and over 300 other animals at the GSPCA currently."
"Next month we have our biggest fund raiser of the year which is our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday and for those wanting to join in please do get in touch especially with the Giant Animal Mascot Race."
"This year our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday is on the 15th May and is set to be a great day."
