Last night we held our second volunteer evening od 2014 and once again we overwhelmed with the fantastic turn out.

With 28 new faces popping along to find out about volunteering at the GSPCA Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager and Sarah Ozanne Animal Care Assistant were on hand.

After a presentation on the GSPCA, handouts, a few forms and learning hot to work safely at the Shelter by Steve Byrne, Sarah then sat down with each person interested in helping at the Shelter.

From Duke of Edinburgh to volunteers wanting to help on the reception desk and gardening the GSPCA were extremely grateful to all that attended.

The first volunteers of last nights session started today and both had a great time helping at the Shelter.

Sarah Ozanne said 'The room was packed with keen new volunteers eager to help the GSPCA.'

'It was great to met so many people wanting to help us make a difference to animals lives.'

'We really need help on reception and with the gardening and it was great to meet a few that were keen to help us with this at the Shelter.'

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said 'With over 30 new volunteers last month and 28 new helpers last night it warms the heart to see so many caring individuals that want to help us make a difference in helping animals in Guernsey.'

'We want to thank all the volunteers that both came along last night and of course those that help us ensure we can carry out our work 24 hours a day 7 days a week.'
